Good morning, y'all!
Sorry I missed you last week. I didn't plan ahead very well and I was in a 2 day crash course and getting certified in hair extensions! Yay!
So this weeks blog post is a little different. I am giving my review of Daily Harvest. I know many of you have seen the ads pop up on Facebook and Instagram and I'm the one that decided to give it a shot. Many of you have seen my Instagram posts and asked about it so I thought it was blog worthy! Going in blindly and not knowing much about it, I was a little nervous to spend the money. But, I am LOVING it! I went all in with a month supply. It consists of 24 meals and you can pick and choose whatever you want. There are many options for smoothies, oat bowls, chia bowls, soups, and harvest bowls. Lunch is my biggest weakness so I am finding this is a great option for me. I heat it up in the morning, put it back in the original package is comes in and it's ready to go! Easy to heat up later for when you are on the go. They are healthy options with many organic ingredients too. I definitely feel full after each meal. Especially with the breakfast options. They are huge for me. So I usually save half of them for the next morning. I am finding the breakfasts options are very high in calorie. The lunch/dinner options are much lower. In the future I plan to purchase more lunch options than breakfast. I have my breakfast routine down so I would like to focus more on lunch.
Here are the ones I've tried and how I feel about them:
Oat Bowl- Mulberry and Dragon Fruit- I had never had dragon fruit and this bowl was tasty! Would definitely get this again!
Soup- Tomato zucchini minestrone- this was very tasty, healthy, and super low calorie.
Smoothie-avocado and cacao-this was ok. It was a bit strong on the cacao side. I would skip this on my next round.
Harvest Bowl- Cauliflower rice and pesto- I LOVE cauliflower rice and highly recommend this yumminess.
Smoothie- Cinnamon protein and banana- I didn't care for the overall taste of this one.
Harvest Bowl-Butternut squash and chimichurri-This wasn't a favorite.
Chia Bowl-Blackberry and Majik-I am eating this right now and it's so good! Chia seeds are so good for you and I would definitely recommend this one!
A month supply equals 24 cups and it's $168. That averages out to $6.99 a cup. There are weekly options 9, 12, or 24 and that ranges from $6.99-$7.75 a cup. You can also use code FB25 and get a discount on your first order!
If you are all about meal prep, not wasting food, and making like a little easier on yourself I highly recommend Daily Harvest! I hope this helps to answer any questions you may have had. Feel free to comment or email me with any other questions you may have!
Happy Eating! xoxo,
PS Make room in your freezer!
