I was scrolling through Instagram last night when I came across a post of a girl that I met during my time in Louisville. She recently started hair school so I love following along and watching her grow. Her most recent post was a little bit different and it caught my attention. Her location was at Southland Christian in Lexington and that's where my sister went during her time at UK. She posted how she prayed specifically for a friend when she started hair school. She talked about the moment when she saw that person and told her about it and the girl knew it too. It gave me a little more faith and hope. It was a really cool story of praying and listening and answering. Moving and starting over is one of the hardest things I have ever done as an adult. And it gets harder the older you get. We have been in Nashville for close to 3.5 years now. We moved at really crazy time. Married less than a year, 7 months pregnant, starting new jobs, and knowing no one except our family. It was a tough time. We are both shy at first so stepping out of our boxes isn't an easy task. And being new parents we just didn't know our place. We knew church would be the best place to find community. So we started shopping. We landed at one church for close to a year and I will forever be grateful for that place. But, it ended up not really being the best fit for us. My mom had been talking about Forest Hills Baptist for a long time and reluctantly we gave it a try. We were so tired of church shopping at. We are so glad we finally gave it a try. We have been there close to a year now and have gotten plugged in and I am even working there part time. Hudson is attending the Mother's Day Out program and loving going to "school." This year I have felt called to go a step further and open up our home and heart to others. It takes work, it takes time, it takes effort, and it take getting out of your comfort zone. But, I am forever grateful for the friendships that we have started to build and that have started to grow. God is so good and always meets you right where you are. He doesn't want you to stay there and walks with you every step of the way to the next stop on your journey. No matter where you are right now with your friendships, relationships, life. Pray. Ask God specifically for whatever you need. He may not answer the exact way you want but it will be the exact way you need. I'm here pulling for you and praying.

xoxo, Tiffany
