Getting to Know Pennington's

Hey y'all! Welcome to the new blog! I am so happy you are here! I wanted to take a few minutes and just introduce myself and Pennington's to you. As most of you know, I am Tiffany. I was born and raised in Northern Kentucky and had a thing for hair in high school. I loved pulling everyone's hair through a cap and making them blonde. But, I was super shy and never thought I could do hair because you have to talk to everyone! But, mom told me when I was 21 to get a job, go to school, or get out. So, after many failed attempts at college I decided to jump into hair school and I couldn't be happier! I started out in Northern Kentucky and then when I was 25 I moved to Savannah, GA and that is where my business really flourished. I have worked with Aveda, All Nutrient, and currently in love with Baco-an Italian color line. A piece of my heart will always be in Savannah, but after 7 years and reconnecting with my middle school boyfriend, I made the move to Louisville, Kentucky. What a huge change and challenge that was. I slowly built a steady clientele and really enjoyed my time there. I got married and quickly got pregnant and we decided to come to Nashville to be closer to my parents and sister. Nashville was never really on my radar and honestly it's not my favorite. But, I can't imagine not being close to my family now that my sweet boy is here. I worked at 3 different salons here in Nashville and just couldn't find my place. I was so close to just settling when a sweet client of mine, Lauren Miller, encouraged me to chat with her landlord about a small space that was available. I had always dreamed of having my own salon but as a new mom and being in a new city I never thought it could be possible. I took the leap of faith and spoke with the landlord and he agreed to my rent offer. I couldn't believe it!! My little sister, Kayla, decided to go on this adventure with me! She is more of the business mind and behind the scenes and I am so grateful! We were able to build out our space just the way we wanted. We were going for light, bright, airy. And that is just what we got. We could not be happier with our space. It's absolutely gorgeous! I have finally found my place here in the Nations of West Nashville. Many have asked where the name Pennington's came from and it is my maiden name and still my sisters last name and we just love the way it flowed together. I have had the chance to meet so many amazing people and build some awesome relationships in the community and that is priceless!



Our Space

We would love to meet you! We want Pennington's to be a place you can stop in, say hi, grab a glass of wine or cup of coffee and hangout with us. We want community to be built here and friendships to be made. And we would love to know what you want to see on this blog. My vision is for it to be a little bit of everything from hair to travel to being a mom.

Tiffany's Tip

I know it sounds cliche, but the less you shampoo the better. I recommend starting out shampooing every other day to get in the habit. Then try shampooing on Friday and then waiting until Monday. I highly recommend using Living Proof PhD dry shampoo. It will change your life!

Cancel/Late and No Show Policy:

Credit Cards are required to book all appointments. In order to continue providing the best possible scheduling options to my guests, I require 48 hours' notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your visit with me. Should you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice, a $25 per service cancelled fee applies and will be due before a new appointment is scheduled.  

I will do my best to work with you for emergencies.

I do understand that unexpected situations and certain scheduling mishaps are unavoidable and accidental.

Service Redo and Retail Exchange Policy:

I strive to offer my guests the highest level of guest satisfaction. If you are having challenges with your cut or color, let me know within 7 days of your visit and I'm happy to correct the issue with no additional charge. Should you make a retail purchase that you are unsatisfied with, I will accept retail exchanges at full credit for 14 days from your initial purchase.
